Junior Associate
Safian Khan is a Junior Associate at RIAA Barker Gillette’s Islamabad office. He assists the firm’s partners and senior associates on a range of corporate and commercial matters, with a particular focus on transaction advisory for Public-Private Partnerships and infrastructure and development projects, alongside work in international trade law, legislative and regulatory drafting, and public policy. Drawing on his prior experience with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public-Private Partnership Unit, where he contributed to legislative reform of the province’s PPP framework, Safian has developed a strong grounding in PPP transaction structuring and public sector advisory work. An accomplished oral advocate, Safian has represented Pakistan at leading international moot court competitions set by the Red Cross and the International Law Students Association. He combines this advocacy training with hands-on legislative and transactional experience in advising clients on complex public sector and regulatory matters.
