Associate
Azwar Shakeel is an associate based in our Lahore office. His main areas of practice include corporate matters, regulatory compliance, labour disputes, legislative drafting, project development, and dispute resolution.
Apart from his role with the firm, Azwar routinely contributes articles on legal and socio-political topics for various newspapers, including Dawn and The News. The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan also awarded him the Fakhruddin G Ebrahim Fellowship, and he has been working as a consultant to prepare a report on the rights implications of human smuggling in Pakistan.
Azwar Shakeel holds an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He earned distinction at the Bar and was awarded the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators Prize for outstanding academic achievements. The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn admitted him to the Bar of England and Wales.
