The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is in the process of developing tourist and recreational parks at several sites on public-private partnership basis to improve the province’s tourist infrastructure. To this end, KP enacted a law in 2019 to set up a tourism authority to develop and maintain tourist sites throughout the province at a high and uniform standard.
We have been engaged to advise on developing a recreational park at the historic site of Hund, Swabi on a public-private partnership basis. The development is expected to comprise an amusement park, water sports on the adjacent lake, chalets, restaurants and other leisure facilities. Our role includes preparing bidding documents and drafting the concession agreement to be entered into with a private developer.
Our team for this matter consists of Adil Tirmizey (Partner-Pakistan), Rida A. Bhatti (Associate Partner) and Ahmad Mohid (Associate).
