RIAA Barker Gillette is pleased to announce the appointment of Shahmeer Naveed Arshad as a Partner, based in the firm’s Lahore office. The induction of Shahmeer Naveed Arshad strengthens the firm’s national practice and marks another milestone in the growth of the Lahore office.
Shahmeer Naveed Arshad joins the partnership with an outstanding and diverse practice spanning corporate and M&A, real estate and development, banking and finance, dispute resolution, taxation and intellectual property. He has advised listed and unlisted companies, industrial groups, banks and financial institutions, regulatory authorities and utilities. His work covers a wide range of complex transactional and contentious matters. He is known for commercial, practical and client-focused advice.
His transactional experience includes some of Pakistan’s most significant real estate and financing structures. These include a PKR 94 billion Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and a PKR 10 billion residential joint venture. He has also led multi-billion-rupee corporate restructurings, share acquisitions and exits, and Islamic finance transactions.
Shahmeer has also built a distinguished reputation as a litigator. He appears regularly before the Lahore High Court, Peshawar High Court, Banking Courts and specialised tribunals. There, he represents clients in complex tax, banking, insurance, intellectual property and regulatory disputes. He is recognised for combining strong advocacy with commercially focused and practical solutions.
