Rayan Karim

Associate

Rayan Karim graduated with a First Class LLB Honours. Her commitment to the legal field propelled her to pursue training as a barrister at the Bar of England and Wales.

Rayan began her career in law as a litigation associate at Ameer & Afridi Associates (formerly Afridi, Shah & Minallah), a well-reputed local litigation law firm in Peshawar, KPK. Her journey in legal education and mentorship is noteworthy, having taught the University of London LLB Hons course at their affiliate centres (TILS Peshawar, LGS Defence Degree Programme) in Pakistan. She also briefly served as the Head of Law School at LGS Defence Degree Programme.

Rayan has experience working in the Energy Department of the Corporate Team at RIAABG. She has assisted the Senior Partner and Senior Associates on various matters in their respective specialisms, which include, inter alia, infrastructure projects, finance, corporate and commercial, M&A, and alternative dispute resolution.

Rayan’s proficiency extends to reviewing and vetting complex documentation and drafting client memorandums, legal opinions, and agreements.

Rayan Karim is also an Accredited Civil/Commercial Mediator, showcasing her dedication to creating win-win situations, which is an invaluable skill for businesses in the Corporate and Commercial sphere. Rayan is currently on secondment from our Lahore office to Al Ghazi Tractors Ltd (a subsidiary of Al Futtaim Group), a RIAA Barker Gillette PK client company.
