Pippa Marshall

Partner and Head of Family Law

Pippa Marshall is a family law and divorce specialist with over 15 years of experience. She joined RIAA Barker Gillette from HRC Solicitors in October 2023. Before that, she was at DMH Stallard.

Pippa has exceptional client care skills and extensive knowledge and experience in divorce and financial remedy matters, children’s matters, emergency injunctions, and the dissolution of civil partnerships. Pippa can also help you with pre and post-marital nuptial agreements.

Pippa was a recommended lawyer in the 2022 edition of the Legal 500, the leading guide to law firms and solicitors in the UK.

Pippa’s experience covers all areas of family law including:

Pippa often acts on higher-value financial proceedings, working closely with financial dispute expert Stuart Jacobs. This work frequently involves analysing business accounts and interests, complex financial assets and single joint expert reports.

Pippa has worked with several high-net-worth individuals to resolve their financial matters and protect their assets. She has also successfully handled a number of cases involving an evasive and uncooperative party.

Pippa is committed to utilising Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) options such as the family arbitration processes. However, should litigation become necessary, Pippa is an experienced court advocate who will meticulously prepare her client’s case before concisely and persuasively representing it.

Children

Clients regularly instruct Pippa on a wide range of child cases, including those with complex safeguarding issues, child arrangement disputes, leave-to-remove applications and financial provision applications.

Cohabitation disputes

These disputes arise upon the separation of unmarried couples who jointly own property together. Such disputes can be expensive, so seeking early advice is essential. Pippa has settled several complex disputes of this nature.

Divorce

Pippa handles divorce suits from start to finish, from the issue of Form A to the Final hearing. Preparing Form Es, analysing disclosure, preparing the First Appointment documents, Replies to Questionnaire and Section 25 Statements. Where necessary, instructing and liaising with counsel and other third parties, attending First Appointments, FDRs and Final Hearings and advising the client throughout the proceedings on strategy, disclosure and settlement.
