Associate Solicitor
Evangelos Kyveris completed his law degree at Sussex University, followed by a masters degree in International Commercial Law at University College London. He joined RIAA Barker Gillette in January 2017 as a full-time paralegal in the Real Estate team. In addition, Evangelos completed his Legal Practice Course at City University that year.
Evangelos Kyveris commenced his training contract in August 2018 and qualified into the corporate and commercial team in April 2020. He works closely with partner and head of corporate and commercial, Victoria Holland, and the rest of the team.

Banking and finance
Evangelos has experience in representing both lenders and borrowers on financing and re-financing and guarantee arrangements and working on banking and re-financing projects, including reviewing and drafting facility and loan agreements and security documentation such as debentures, charges, chattels mortgages, assignments, personal and corporate guarantees and security trustee and inter-creditor agreements.
Commercial
Evangelos’ experience includes handling commercial contract reviews, researching and advising on commercial law issues and drafting bespoke commercial agreements, including supply contracts (goods and services), terms of business, manufacture agreements, retailer supply agreements, franchise and commercial agency agreements, licensing agreements, distribution agreements, consultancy agreements, white label contracts, introduction agreements, nominee agreements, exclusivity agreements, NHS contracts, confidentiality agreements (NDAs) and website documentation.
Corporate
Evangelos has acted on numerous diverse corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), share and asset sales and acquisitions, complex restructurings, share buy-back arrangements, management buyouts, shareholder and joint venture arrangements, investments and exits.
Evangelos is well versed in matters of corporate governance, including the drafting and reviewing of board minutes and written resolutions, and has experience in dealing with company incorporation, business start-ups, limited liability partnerships (LLPs) and partnerships, company secretarial matters and due diligence.
Infrastructure projects and project financing
Evangelos has experience in advising various oil and gas exploration and transmission, distribution and development companies on all their matters relating to high-value multinational project finance transactions.
In particular, Evangelos has been involved in providing English-law opinions on sovereign guarantees, power purchase agreements, fuel supply agreements, EPC contracts, O&M contracts, letters of credit, performance guarantees, syndicated facility agreements, inter-creditor agreements, common terms agreements, sponsor support agreements, direct agreements, co-ordination agreements and security documentation.
